Specifications and Features of the BMW iX

The BMW iX carries a modern sport activity vehicle concept that is intelligently designed to provide a modern interior that is comfortable, spacious, and minimalist in luxury.

This variant, which comes in the BMW iX xDrive40 type, has an output of more than 326 hp, allowing it to reach speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.

The average electric power consumption of the BMW iX xDrive40 in the WLTP cycle is under 20 kWh per 100 kilometers, with a cruising range of up to 420 km.

The new charging technology on the BMW iX enables DC (direct current) fast charging with very high charging power. The BMW iX xDrive40 can recharge high-voltage batteries up to 200 kW.

This means charging for 10 minutes can provide enough energy to add a range of more than 90 kilometers. High-voltage battery charging can be increased from 0% to 80% in less than 34 minutes.

Apart from that, the BMW iX xDrive40 uses a lot of recycled, environmentally friendly materials and renewable energy.

One of them is an interior that uses Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood.

The interior, or cabin, of this premium electric car looks very luxurious, elegant, and futuristic.

This car door has a vacuum door feature, so you don’t need to close the door hard because it will automatically close tightly.

Towards the dashboard, there is a curved LCD screen extending from behind the steering wheel to the middle of the dashboard, which gives a luxurious impression.

Then the steering wheel is hexagonal in shape and can be adjusted electrically by tilt and telescopic.

There are not many settings buttons that are ‘sticky’ on the dashboard. Because all systems are integrated on an elongated screen on the dashboard.

Then the control panel, which is located in the middle, is no less charming with its wooden material and also functions as an armrest.

Even though the control panel is made of wood, it can be operated using a touch system.

It doesn’t stop there; to make it look even more luxurious, the control panel is sweetened with crystal accents on the volume settings.

Then underneath, there is wireless charging with two USB Type-C charging sockets.

The leg room and head room are also spacious, so your comfort when driving is guaranteed. Not only that, but this premium car also has a panoramic sunroof complete with electrochromatic technology.

The function of this technology is to make the panoramic roof transparent with just one touch of a button.

On the passenger side, there is a 4-zone digital AC setting and two charging sockets on the back of the front seats. So in total, there are 4 charging sockets with USB Type C models.

This BMW iX truly represents a premium SUV. First of all, it can be seen from the front.

Even though it relies on electric power, BMW’s signature kidney grille is still maintained.

The difference in the grille lies in the latest technology embedded, namely embedded cameras and sensors behind the grille.

Of course, the function of these two features is safety and driving comfort.

In addition, the grille features heating element to ‘protect’ the sensor and camera from moisture that could impair performance.

Furthermore, the clever grille has self-healing technology built into it,
which enables the grille to clean itself and repair damage from hits with gravel while walking.
At the bottom of the bumper, there are air holes with black accents and headlamps that include laser lights.
This electric car’s body has no particularly eye-catching embellishments when viewed from the side.

The door handles are flush with the body, giving off an electric car-like sense of the future.
Then, when the door is closed or opened, an LED light in the side window will flash.
The frameless design integrated into the side windows of the primary and passenger doors not only looks futuristic, but it also gives off sporty vibe.

At the rear, the stern of the BMW iX is designed in an elegant and minimalist manner.

The rear lights have a thin design with a combination of white and silver.

These lights have a sequential pattern when the car is on, so this BMW electric car looks even more futuristic. For the trunk, to increase security when opening the trunk, there is a stop lamp that automatically lights up on the inside.

The BMW iX is equipped with dual electric motors with a total power of 523 PS and a maximum torque of 765 Nm. To reach 0-100 km/hour, this electric car only takes 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/hour.

For the battery, this car is equipped with a 105.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, which allows it to reach a distance of up to 630 km based on the WLTP cycle.

For charging time, this BMW iX electric car takes 11 hours with an 11 kW AC wallbox charger.

This car can be charged using DC fast charging up to 200 kW, which can fill the battery from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes and increase the distance to up to 150 km in just 10 minutes.

So, of course, this car can be relied on even for long-distance trips.

This BMW iX electric car offers various attractive features. Starting from the elegant, futuristic design, advanced features, and long distance, this car can be used every day.

However, to get this car, you have to spend quite a large amount, around IDR 2.7 billion.
